Job Summary (Purpose): 

The LMS Administrator is responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, and optimization of AmeriGas’s Learning Management System (SAP). This role focuses on creating and managing enrollment groups, troubleshooting course and system issues, uploading and organizing L&D content, generating reports and analytics, and performing basic instructional design tasks. The LMS Administrator ensures the learning platform operates efficiently and effectively supports the training needs of the organization. This position works closely with the Learning and Development team to deliver seamless learning experiences to employees across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, configure, and maintain enrollment groups based on job roles, compliance requirements, and access levels to ensure appropriate course assignments across the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues including course glitches, enrollment problems, SCORM package errors, and reporting discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Upload, organize, and manage diverse learning content including e-learning modules, videos, PDFs, and SCORM packages within the LMS platform.
  • Develop and generate manager reports and analytics on learning and development data to track completion rates, compliance metrics, and training effectiveness.
  • Perform basic instructional design tasks including course modifications, creating assessments, and updating existing learning materials to enhance user experience.
  • Maintain LMS system integrity by conducting regular audits, data cleanup, and quality assurance checks on courses and user data.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to L&D team members on LMS functionality, best practices, and new features.
  • Collaborate with L&D Manager and team to implement system enhancements, workflow improvements, and new learning initiatives.
  • Monitor user access issues and resolve account-related problems to ensure uninterrupted access to training materials.
  • Stay current with LMS updates, patches, and new functionality to leverage system capabilities and improve learning delivery.
  • Document standard operating procedures, workflows, and troubleshooting guides for LMS processes and functionality.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools, specifically Articulate Rise and Storyline.
  • Understanding of SCORM standards, e-learning best practices, and learning technology trends.
  • Customer service orientation with commitment to supporting end-user needs.
  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.

Education and Experience Required: 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in LMS administration or learning technology management.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Learning Management System or similar enterprise LMS platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing enrollment rules, user groups, and curriculum structures.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues in learning management systems and e-learning content.
  • Proficiency with SCORM packages, content uploads, and LMS reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with Articulate Rise and Storyline or similar e-learning authoring tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and creating reports/dashboards for learning metrics.
  • Experience working in a corporate learning and development environment preferred.

The pay for this position ranges from $62,700.00 to $70,000.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
