Job Description And Position Requirements:
Penn State’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies is accepting applications for an Instructional Designer to join our growing online learning design team. This position can be performed remotely and does not require physical relocation to the Penn State Great Valley Campus.
This position works collaboratively with faculty to design and develop online courses, functions as a lead project manager and uses a range of technology-enhanced systems to develop content for a variety of delivery modes.
A solid understanding of pedagogical principles, instructional systems theory, application of existing and emerging educational technologies, and an in-depth understanding of instructional design issues/best practices related to teaching and learning in all course delivery modes are required. Candidates must have solid experience with learning management systems (Canvas), multimedia development processes, accessibility, and copyright requirements. Candidates should be able to manage the scope, timeline, and deliverables of multiple projects being developed simultaneously and must possess solid communication, collaboration, time management, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.
The instructional designer will use the team’s project management system, follow standard processes, and contribute to ongoing improvement and documentation of the team’s procedures. The candidate should be able to use advanced features of tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Speechify, and other Web 2.0 tools.

$51,000.00 – $74,000.00
