Description
At Amazon Health Services, we’re revolutionizing the future of healthcare delivery through innovative solutions and exceptional customer experiences. As part of this mission, we need talented individuals who can help our teams deliver care and service through effective, engaging learning experiences. We’re seeking a strategic Learning Experience Designer who can bridge the gap between performance analysis and visual design excellence.
As a Learning Experience Designer, you’ll lead the front-end design process for complex learning solutions that serve our healthcare professionals. You’ll conduct detailed performance gap analyses, develop comprehensive curriculum strategies, and create innovative learning architectures. Your unique blend of instructional design expertise and visual design sensibility will help transform complex healthcare concepts into engaging, effective learning experiences.
We’re particularly excited about candidates who can leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance both the design process and final deliverables. This role is perfect for someone who can think strategically about learning design while maintaining high standards for visual and interactive excellence in our solutions. If you’re passionate about creating learning experiences that inspire and drive results, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Please include a work portfolio demonstrating your experience with storyboarding, course authoring tools, and instructional design theory when applying. Examples of AI-assisted content development are highly encouraged.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
Your morning starts with a stakeholder meeting to review performance data from Pharmacy Operations, identifying training gaps for a new workflow. You then lead a collaborative session with SMEs to map out the curriculum strategy. By afternoon, you’re crafting detailed storyboards for a blended learning solution, incorporating custom visual concepts. You mentor a junior designer on user experience best practices before joining a project review where you present your learning architecture for an upcoming certification program. The day ends with analyzing feedback data from a recently launched module and adjusting your design approach accordingly.
