About iCEV:

Our vision is to create engaging solutions and dynamic curriculum to provide students with the focus and preparation needed for a successful transition from K-12 to post-secondary studies to career success, along with providing necessary training for the life-long learner. iCEV brings careers to the classroom through engaging educational videos featuring some of the most unique workplaces in the nation, as well as lessons, projects and activities that develop high school students’ career preparedness in a variety of areas.

About the Role:

The curriculum team at iCEV creates innovative instructional resources which bridge the gap between classroom learning and future careers by partnering with academic and industry experts from across the nation.

We are seeking a remote Subject Matter Expert (SME) to complete a technical review of our Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course. For the technical review, we anticipate three phases of completion starting August 1, 2025:

Phase 1- Course planning review (~ 8 hours)

  • Anticipated deadline September 12, 2025

Phase 2- Batch 1 lesson review (~ 18 hours)

  • Anticipated deadline November 14, 2025

Phase 3- Batch 2 lesson review (~ 21 hours)

  • Anticipated deadline January 31, 2026

Payment for review will align with collaborator submission and completion of internal review by iCEV for each identified phase.

Additionally, we are seeking an artificial intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) to appear on screen to educate high school students on the topics listed below. Additional compensation would be provided for any on screen appearances

  • AI Ethical & Privacy Concerns (interview)
  • Human Centered AI Systems
  • AI Applications (interview and demo if applicable)

Essential Duties:

  • Work with iCEV team members to understand project goals, deadlines and overall desired outcomes
  • Attend project meetings as necessary
  • Provide insights into additional lessons, content, activities or simulations
  • Provide a technical review for accuracy and completeness of instructional content in the iCEV. (Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course Instructional material content includes video and slide presentations, projects, activities and assessment questions related to the content)
  • Provide expertise through on-camera interviews and demonstrations if appearing as on screen expertwww.icevonline.com

Requirements:

  • Advanced academic training and practical experience in artificial intelligence and its subfields (machine learning, computer vision, AI ethics, etc)
  • Understanding of high school-level learner needs
  • Ability to conceptualize and design creative learning opportunities in a multimedia format
  • Proficient in English grammar, spelling and punctuation

Required Deliverables:

  • Phase 1: Suggestions for additions to the curriculum such as additional lessons, content, interactive questions, activities or simulations
  • Phases 2 & 3: Technical review of 13 iCEV Introduction to Artificial Intelligence lessons utilizing iCEV’s Review Rubric
