Salary Range: $59,000.00 To $86,000.00 Annually

The Learning & Development Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing employee performance and engagement through effective training programs. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning solutions that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.  

The specialist will focus on supporting new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles. Additionally, the role involves leveraging Learning Management Systems (LMS) to facilitate online training and blended learning experiences. Ultimately, the specialist aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization. 

Essential Functions:  

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of various departments. 
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements for employees. 
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company. 
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems to deliver and track online training modules. 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary.  

Skills: 

The required skills in Learning Solutions and Training Design are essential for creating effective training programs that cater to diverse learning styles. Onboarding expertise ensures that new employees feel welcomed and prepared, which is vital for retention and productivity. Proficiency in Learning Management Systems allows the specialist to efficiently manage and deliver training content, making it accessible to all employees. Employee engagement skills are utilized to foster a positive learning environment, encouraging participation and feedback. Finally, the ability to implement blended learning strategies enhances the overall training experience, combining online and in-person methods for optimal results. 

Job Requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in Learning and Development or a similar role. 
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and online training tools. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certification in Learning and Development or Training Design. 
  • Experience with blended learning approaches and employee engagement strategies. 
  • Familiarity with instructional design methodologies.
