BayCare is seeking a skilled Instructional Technologist to join our Organizational Development and Learning team. This role blends high-level technical expertise with instructional design to support the development of engaging, effective learning experiences across the health system.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide advanced support services to the department and internal customers, including the design and development of eLearning and multimedia products
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze content, define learning objectives, and identify instructional strategies
  • Design and develop interactive and static learning materials such as eLearning modules, job aids, process guides, and resource documents
  • Apply adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, AGILE) to create impactful training solutions
  • Use tools like Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond, Snagit, WellSaid Labs, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Publish and test SCORM content in the LMS; troubleshoot issues to ensure proper functionality
  • Monitor and maintain the effectiveness of existing technologies and explore new tools for instructional innovation
  • Work cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams across BayCare Health System

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conceptualize abstract ideas and manage multiple priorities
  • Working knowledge of adult learning theory, ADDIE, and AGILE methodologies
  • Intermediate proficiency in Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, Snagit, and WellSaid Labs

Qualifications:

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Education, or related field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Instructional Technology or Education

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in instructional design or systems-related support
  • Experience with LMS platforms and SCORM/AICC content management
  • Preferred: Experience in healthcare instructional design

Location: Clearwater, FL

Status: PRN, up to 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday during general business hours

Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Weekend Work: None

On Call: No
