The Opportunity
The Training & Development Lead for Support designs, delivers, and scales the learning ecosystem that powers our Customer Support organization. This internal-facing role owns onboarding, compliance, and continuous learning programs to reduce time-to-proficiency, elevate quality, and enable career growth across Support as we scale.
You’ll architect a cohesive curriculum for Tier 1-Tier 3 Support roles, standardize growth and career pathways, and facilitate learning that uplevels our team’s capability. You’ll partner closely with Support Operations, QA, Product, and People teams to ensure every Support professional is enabled to deliver exceptional service – confidently, compliantly, and consistently.
How you’ll make an impact:
Onboarding Program Ownership
- Design and own end-to-end onboarding for Support roles, including role-based curricula, bootcamps, labs, shadowing plans, and certifications.
- Define clear proficiency milestones and assessments to accelerate ramp and reduce time-to-proficiency.
- Maintain a single source of truth for onboarding materials and delivery plans across cohorts and geographies.
Compliance & Required Training
- Own the Support compliance training calendar (e.g., privacy, security, safety, data handling) and ensure timely completion and tracking.
- Keep curricula current with policy/process updates; manage version control, completion records, and audit readiness.
- Partner with Legal, Security, and People teams to align content with regulatory and company requirements.
Continuous Learning & Skill Uplift
- Launch and scale a continuous learning program (microlearning, refreshers, release enablement, soft skills) to drive sustained performance.
- Facilitate live and virtual workshops; build train-the-trainer programs to scale delivery through SMEs.
- Partner with Product and Enablement leads to roll out training for launches and major changes.
Career Growth & Development
- Define competency frameworks and role expectations for Support (Tier 1-Tier 3, Leads, Specialists).
- Standardize individual growth plans (IDPs) and promotion criteria; implement a consistent process for development conversations and readiness reviews.
- Build structured learning paths and certifications that align to career ladders and technical/soft-skill domains.
Enablement Content & Systems
- Create high-quality learning assets (ILT/VILT decks, eLearning modules, job aids, SOPs, scenario labs, quizzes) using modern authoring tools.
- Administer the LMS for Support: catalogs, enrollments, reporting, and learning paths; ensure seamless integration with knowledge base and QA rubrics.
- Establish content governance for accuracy, freshness, and accessibility.
Measurement & Insights
- Define and report KPIs (e.g., time-to-proficiency, QA scores, error rates, re-open rates, AHT, CSAT impact, completion rates).
- Run A/B tests and ROI analyses to prioritize high-impact training investments.
- Build feedback loops with Support leaders and QA to iteratively improve content and delivery.
Facilitation & Coaching
- Personally facilitate critical sessions; coach leaders and SMEs on instructional best practices to ensure consistent, engaging delivery.
- Model excellent classroom management, inclusive learning practices, and real-world application through scenarios and simulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Support Operations, QA, Product, and Product Marketing to align training with roadmap, policies, and tooling.
- Coordinate with HR/People partners to align development programs with company-wide frameworks and talent cycles.
The Skillset
- 5+ years in L&D, Enablement, or Support Training within a SaaS or operations-heavy environment; 2+ years owning role-based curricula end-to-end.
- Demonstrated expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s, Kirkpatrick) and facilitation across ILT/VILT/eLearning.
- Proven experience building onboarding programs and continuous learning that measurably improve ramp time and quality.
- Strong program management skills; can run calendars, cohorts, and cross-functional dependencies with clarity and predictability.
- Data-driven approach; comfortable building dashboards, interpreting QA and operational metrics, and tying learning to business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and storytelling; able to translate complex technical and policy topics into practical, engaging training.
- Familiarity with tools such as an LMS (e.g., Docebo, WorkRamp, Lessonly), authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise), and support systems (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, Confluence/Notion).
- Experience defining competency frameworks, career ladders, and promotion criteria in partnership with business and People teams.
- Nice to have: Relevant certifications (e.g., ATD, CPTD, CTP), experience with sandbox/lab environments, basic multimedia/video editing.
90 Days at Flock

The First 30 Days
- Complete onboarding; immerse in Flock’s product suite, Support workflows, QA framework, and current training assets.
- Audit the current learning ecosystem (onboarding, compliance, ongoing enablement, LMS) and identify quick wins and critical gaps.
- Align with Support leadership, Ops, QA, Product, and People teams on priorities, role competencies, and success metrics.
- Draft the Support competency framework v1 and define time-to-proficiency targets for top roles.
The First 60 Days
- Launch an MVP of the revamped Support onboarding for a target role, including assessments and certification.
- Stand up a refreshed compliance training calendar with tracking/reporting and remediation workflows.
- Publish the FY training roadmap and cohort calendar; implement intake/prioritization for new training requests.
- Pilot a continuous learning series (e.g., monthly skills workshops or microlearning) and instrument performance baselines.
90 Days & Beyond
- Fully own the Support training portfolio (onboarding, compliance, continuous learning) with defined SLAs and governance.
- Roll out career pathways and standardized IDP templates; partner with leaders on promotion-readiness processes.
- Establish a train-the-trainer program and SME guild to scale delivery and content upkeep.
- Operationalize dashboards tying training to performance (QA, error rate, AHT, CSAT, ramp time) and use insights to iterate programs.
- Propose and implement process/tooling improvements across LMS, content governance, and hands-on labs to scale with growth.
Salary & Equity
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary up to $90,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
