We are looking for a Director, Learning Partner for Tech Enablement & Experience who will join our enterprise learning and development (L&D) team. This role focuses on building business-critical skills, developing future leaders, and increasing employee engagement through effective workforce learning strategies and curricula that support career growth and enterprise-wide perspective.

L&D is part of the People Team Talent & Capability team which drives Prudential’s talent management efforts and this position will report directly to the Vice President of Global Technology & Operations Learning. An ideal candidate for this role is agile, intellectually curious, and has a strong interest in technology. They possess the ability to influence, provide thought leadership, and navigate ambiguity with a learner-centric approach. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and fostering an inclusive environment are essential competencies, ensuring the L&D team delivers business value and customer impact.

As Director, Learning Partner for Tech Enablement & Experience, you will lead a small team advancing technology learning across the enterprise. Your role includes providing guidance on technology, data and AI learning resources, driving continuous upskilling through targeted experiences and change management approaches, and overseeing learning platforms like Pluralsight, DataCamp, and the Tech-Ready Academy. You will also serve as the “face of learning” for technology, data, and AI resources, collaborating closely with People Business Leaders and Learning Partners to align strategies and maximize impact.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid or virtual and may require your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business, dependent on the candidate’s location. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

  • Partner with People Business Leaders, learning partners, and business/function leaders to assess technology, data, and AI learning needs, align them with strategic goals, and define and execute a strategy to address those needs.
  • Manage technology learning platforms including vendor relationship management, administration, roadmap planning, enablement and engagement strategies to drive utilization and engagement.
  • Lead individual, large-scale learning projects and coordinate across the L&D org to deliver on those projects.
  • Serve as a knowledge integrator across business and functions to enhance learning strategy outcomes.
  • Foster an inclusive environment of continuous learning and development.
  • Create strong working relationships with peers and business leaders across the enterprise and across People Business Leaders, People Team CoEs, Talent Partners and People Team Operations.
  • Support transformative change efforts across the People Team and the enterprise.

What you’ll need:

  • Learning & Development Expertise: demonstrated expertise in L&D, with a high degree of competency with adult learning principles and learning models; experience in curriculum development, instructional design, planning, facilitation, and implementing efficient learning solutions; proven success developing learning strategy and aligning leadership support.
  • Storytelling: ability to socialize and adapt our learning value story to leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Consultation Skills: consult with business/function leaders and influence their thinking on business challenges and alignment to potential learning interventions.
  • Strategy Development & Execution: demonstrated ability to develop and drive learning and talent strategy in partnership with HR squad to positively impact business outcomes and work environment.
  • Business Acumen: understands the strategic business needs of the company and the impact of learning on meeting the development needs of employees to best serve our customers; leverages external marketplace research and business insights to drive outcomes.
  • Influence with Impact: successfully affects / influences leaders and employees to adopt innovative learning solutions that drive business outcomes; possesses a consultative mindset and leverages a combination of impeccable verbal and written communication skills, highly developed emotional intelligence, and data fluency to drive decision-making.
  • Relationship Building: builds outstanding and constructive working relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders at all levels across the organization, as well with peers and colleagues; organizationally savvy with a learner centric mindset; desires to collaborate and successfully operates across the organization.
  • Inclusion: focuses on creating an environment of honesty, inclusion, and respect for others; champions differing ideas and perspectives; embraces a creative, innovative approach to developing employees with a strong appreciation of our diverse employee and customer base.
  • Enthusiasm and interest in technology, data and AI skills development.
  • Experience designing and implementing learning strategies with a focus on improving business results, leadership capability, talent strategy and organizational learning, preferably in a technology-focused organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Learning, Talent Management or HR background a plus.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $141,100.00 to $191,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.

  • Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
