A Day In The Life

Works with Talent Development teams and business leaders to provide knowledge to create, develop and design the implementation of training programs that support Blattner’s overall business culture and strategy using adult learning principles. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.  Responsible for using the Instructional Design process to identify the performance, skills and knowledge gaps in the organization and closing the gaps by creating effective training programs for the organization.

Step Into The Role

  • Creates appropriate training content based on input from stakeholders.
  • Applies knowledge of adult learning theory to identify appropriate training methods based on learning styles, course content, and audience location.
  • Works on learning content for smaller scope projects to align retention consisting of in-person training, videos, virtual training, eLearning courses, and Virtual Reality experiences.
  • Plans Instructional Design projects.
  • Develops metrics to assess current training programs followed by using those metrics, test results, and supervisor feedback to improve training programs.
  • Develops and implements a maintenance plan to ensure training programs remain current.
  • Serves as a training associate to all departments across the organization.

What You’ll Need

  • A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Talent Development or related field, or combinations of related education and experience required.
  • A minimum of one year of progressive experience in creating and developing content for both facilitator led and e-learning trainings.

What Sets You Apart

  • Use of adult learning principals and platforms such as Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate or similar programs from ground up through implementation preferred.
  • Experience with Workday.
  • Knowledge of construction and renewable energy industry preferred.

$61,220.00 – $82,309.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant’s applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
