Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Learning & Development plays a critical leadership role in accelerating professional development and leadership capability across DDAT, CVS Health’s Technology organization. This role brings deep expertise in workforce capability development to shape learning strategy, introduce innovative development solutions, and influence senior stakeholders. The role requires strong domain knowledge in professional development, skill-building methodologies, leadership development, and modern learning practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Domain Expertise:

  • Shapes the development of DDAT’s professional development and skill-building strategy.
  • Operates autonomously to drive programs and advance complex initiatives.
  • Serves as a senior SME in adult development, capability building, instructional design, and leadership development.

Consulting & Stakeholder Influence:

  • Advises senior leaders and HR partners using root-cause analysis and evidence-based solutions.
  • Builds strong partnerships across technology teams to influence decisions.

Program & Solution Leadership:

  • Leads design and evolution of high-impact learning portfolios.
  • Oversees creation of learning experiences aligned to modern learning principles.
  • Facilitates advanced-level sessions leveraging SME credibility.

Coaching, Mentorship & Team Development:

  • Coaches and mentors junior and mid-level L&D team members.
  • Elevates team capability through modeling and best practices.

Measurement, Insights & Continuous Improvement:

  • Leads evaluation strategies and converts insights into improvement actions.
  • Ensures initiatives improve capability, performance, and engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive Learning & Development experience with leadership scope.
  • Expertise in adult learning, blended learning, digital tools, and capability development.
  • Strong consulting and influence skills.
  • Advanced facilitation capability.
  • Ability to diagnose needs using data and shape strategy accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ATD or related certifications.
  • Experience with enterprise learning systems, virtual facilitation, emerging learning technologies
  • Experience supporting a technology organization.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Preferred Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Learning Design, or related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 – $199,144.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
