Aspen Group, Inc. is looking for an experienced Academic and Regulatory Manager.

AGI’s Manager, Academic and Regulatory Operations, is responsible for maintaining academic regulatory compliance to ensure the institutional and educational effectiveness of
AGI institutions. The Manager utilizes select systems and software to maintain and improve the efficiency of academic operations. Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, Legal and Regulatory Compliance and working in collaboration with the Academic and Business departments of AGI institutions. The Manager of Academic and Regulatory Operations promotes a culture of continuous quality improvement/assurance and data-driven decision making.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a current working knowledge of higher education regulatory rules and procedures; identifies pending compliance changes and conducts proactive and in time training to ensure policy/procedure compliance; monitors and ensures regulatory compliance of institutions served, including Clery, Title IX and ADA; ensures the preparation of state and federal accountability reports according to documented requirements.
  • Utilizes statistical and relational support of academic strategic planning; accreditation; programmatic, state, and federal reporting; business intelligence; review; and other purposes in support of relevant corporate and institutional decision-making.
  • Acts as Title IX Decision-Maker for the company’s institutions.
  • Act as IPEDS Key holder for the company’s institutions.
  • Participates in the development of related company policies and procedures, and provides continuing guidance on academic regulatory affairs.
  • Participates in the development of project plans, strategies, and budgets for the Legal and Regulatory Department.
  • Implements and improves use of Watermark, data warehouses, Tableau, and others, to encourage maximum collaborative use of these systems and software within the company for academic and regulatory operations.
  • Supervises personnel as assigned.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in related field preferred, Bachelor’s degree and/or experience if extensive in a closely related field.
  • Five years of experience working in higher education preferred, or in a related field if focused on federal and state compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret and apply state and federal higher education compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in complying with the regulations and processes of regional, national, or programmatic accreditation associations.
  • Demonstrated experience in the collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation of research.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Watermark, Tableau, CNS, and other student information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, and students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and prioritize.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of professional a high level of professional integrity.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
  • Preferred familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Google Office Suites, Learning Management.

Work Environment

The essential functions of the job are usually performed in an environmentally controlled facility where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position may involve working in a combination of environments and may require travel. While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
