Salary range is $105,000-$115,000

Job Summary: The Associate Director of Online Education, reporting to the Managing Director, Academic Programming and Partnerships, plays a pivotal role in advancing Helix Bar Review’s educational offerings. The Associate Director will collaborate with the Academic Programs and Partnerships team to design and implement online programs for J.D. and LL.M. students, as well as law school faculty. Working closely with the team, the Associate Director will help shape and refine the curriculum for in-school programs—developing a robust mix of questions, videos, and instructional content tailored to the specific needs of each partner school. In addition to curriculum development, the Associate Director will oversee asynchronous programs, create training materials to guide educators in effectively using Helix resources, and travel as needed to lead workshops, instruct online courses and Pass Classes, and represent Helix at conferences and webinars.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Managing Director in managing internal and external resources essential to the development and delivery of online educational programs for J.D. and LL.M. students, as well as law school faculty.
  • Collaborate with the In-School Programming team and partner school faculty to plan, coordinate, and teach in-school programming courses and workshops.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments across AccessLex—including Product Development, Academic Support, and Marketing—to ensure in-school programming is seamlessly integrated with the Helix Bar Review curriculum and brand objectives.
  • Partner with the Marketing and Engagement teams to communicate effectively with law school representatives, ensuring each school’s specific instructional and logistical needs are understood and met.
  • Assist in curriculum design and maintenance, contributing to the creation of course materials, assessments, and multimedia content that align with Helix’s pedagogical standards and objectives.
  • Oversee quality assurance for online and in-school programming, regularly reviewing course materials and delivery to ensure consistency, accuracy, and engagement.
  • Support faculty and instructors, developing and updating training resources to promote effective use of Helix content and technology in online and blended settings.
  • Monitor program performance, collecting and analyzing feedback and data to guide continuous improvement of course content and delivery.
  • Represent Helix Bar Review at workshops, conferences, and webinars to strengthen partnerships and promote best practices in bar exam preparation.
  • Prepare reports and updates on program outcomes, challenges, and strategic opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the ongoing success, innovation, and expansion of Helix’s online and in-school programming initiatives.

Preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of the academic and nonacademic skills needed to succeed in law school and on the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam. 
  • Experience implementing online educational programs.
  • Experience coordinating and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience conducting in-person, phone and online meetings and presentations

Background Experiences. The following candidate background experiences are desired: 

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet production deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • J.D. required; Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction required
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated ability to work in the law school or bar exam preparation environment. 

This is a full-time, exempt position in a remote location; the incumbent is expected to be present and accessible for at least 40 hours per week, subject to approved leave time, travel and other absences as described in the Employee Handbook or as otherwise agreed by the Company. The Company’s standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
