Your Experience.

The Corporate Trainer will design, develop, and deliver effective training programs for our customer service representatives in the insurance sector. This role focuses on enhancing the skills and knowledge of employees to provide exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong training skills, deep knowledge of insurance products, and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment. 

**Location, this role is full time onsite in our Austin office.**

Key Responsibilities.

  • Develop and implement training programs that support the onboarding and ongoing development of customer service representatives within the insurance call center. 
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge and skills gaps affecting performance and customer satisfaction. 
  • Create training materials, including manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules, that align with organizational goals and industry standards. 
  • Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, workshops, and presentations, utilizing a variety of training techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles. 
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and metrics to ensure continuous improvement. 
  • Coach and mentor customer service representatives to enhance their performance and confidence in handling customer inquiries. 
  • Understand life, auto, property & casualty products and underwriting processes 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes to provide relevant training content. 
  • Collaborate with management to define performance expectations and support employee career development. 
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere, encouraging open communication and participation among trainees. 

Your Experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design and training, applying adult learning methods to create effective programs for service and sales teams. 
  • Proven experience as a trainer, preferably in a corporate environment, with a focus on customer service or insurance. 
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, services, and industry practices. 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner. 
  • Proficiency in designing training materials and utilizing learning management systems (LMS) such as Articulate and Captivate. 
  • Experience with assessment tools and techniques to measure training outcomes. 
  • Ability to adapt training methods to diverse audiences and varying skill levels with understanding of adult learning principles. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 

Preferred Skills/Abilities. 

  • Certifications such as CPLP, CPTD, LOMA 
  • Familiarity with systems such as EPIC, AWS, and Workday 
  • Experience with insurance training regulations (e.g. continuing education requirements) 
  • Ability to coach or mentor new trainers 

Education and/or Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred 

Work Environment:  

  • This job is located in a comfortable indoor area 

Travel Requirements: 

  • Less than 10% 

Physical Requirements:   

  • Most of the time outside of training is spent sitting at a desk and working on a computer and there is frequent opportunity to move about 
  • During active facilitation of training classes a majority of the 8 hour day is spent standing and walking around the classroom 
  • Must be able to lift, up to 15 pounds at times 
  • Able to stand and walk as needed  

Safety and Security:   

  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions and injuries including near miss incidents/accidents  
  • Uses and cares for company equipment and materials properly 
  • Must understand and follow cyber security protocols
