Job Summary:

The curriculum team at iCEV brings careers to the classroom through dynamic educational videos, slide decks highlighting some of the nation’s most unique workplaces, and engaging lessons, projects, and activities that build high school students’ career readiness across a variety of fields.

The Curriculum Alignment & Assessment Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring iCEV’s curriculum meets the demands of state, national, and industry standards; instructional materials adoptions; and high-stakes testing requirements. This specialist is responsible for refining and advancing alignment and assessment strategies in response to new standards, evolving accountability measures, and iCEV’s product development priorities. Success in this role requires close collaboration with educators, industry leaders, and internal product teams to deliver alignments and assessments that are accurate, adoption-ready, and designed to support student achievement on high-stakes exams and certifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee alignment and assessment timelines to meet iCEV publishing priorities
  • Supervise and mentor members of the Alignment & Assessment team
  • Analyze state, national and industry standards and benchmarks to ensure alignment with academic expectations and testing frameworks
  • Align iCEV content to relevant and current state/national education standards, industry standards, industry certifications and high-stakes testing requirements
  • Monitor and update alignments as standards evolve
  • Align materials for success in instructional materials adoptions
  • Collaborate with educators, testing experts, and industry specialists to validate alignments and assessments
  • Design and refine standards-based assessments, including pre- and post-tests, to measure student mastery and growth
  • Develop assessments specifically tailored to support student performance on state accountability tests and industry-recognized certifications
  • Work closely with the Product team to integrate alignment and assessment strategies
  • Engage with SMEs as needed

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of standards-based education, assessment design, and high-stakes testing frameworks (e.g., end-of-course exams, certification exams, accountability measures)
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply state and national standards, instructional materials adoption requirements, and testing specifications
  • Proficient in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and professional writing
  • Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback to strengthen work quality
  • Capable of thriving in both team-based and independent work environments
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Skilled in Microsoft® Office Suite; familiarity with data analysis tools or assessment platforms is a plus

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least three years of related work experience highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
