Job Summary
The Director, Learner Experience in the UCSF School of Nursing (SON) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of student services. Supervises a team of professional staff, including an Academic Achievement Counselor, Office of Clinical Placements Manager, Recruitment and Outreach Manager, and administrative personnel, to ensure effective and timely delivery of student services and ensure effective delivery of core functional areas including recruitment, admissions, student advising, academic progression, financial aid coordination, clinical placements, graduation processing, and records management.
The Director, Learner Experience works under the direction of the Associate Dean, Education Programs, and implementing systems, policies, and procedures established at the School or Office level.
The Director, Learner Experience focuses on operational management and continuous process improvement within assigned programs. Identifies issues and trends in student services and escalates complex or systemic matters to the Associate Dean, Education Programs for strategic action.
This position plays a pivotal role in implementing student-related policies and procedures and collaborates with other campus units such as the UCSF Graduate Division, Registrar’s Office, and Financial Aid Office to ensure alignment and compliance with university, state, and federal regulations.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $87,900 – $187,700 (Annual Rate).
