Description

The Director of Art and Production designs, supervises, and unifies CPM’s visual communications ensuring all marketing materials and curriculum products reflect the CPM corporate identity and brand. They will establish project objectives, research current trends and the target demographic, and design and troubleshoot the visual aspects of curriculum or an ad campaign including print & digital, from the initial planning stages until the finished campaign is presented. Possess an understanding of graphic design concepts and software and excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements

In this role you will:

  1. Collaborate on the ideation and development of public-facing innovative marketing campaigns and the materials containing the educational content.
  2. Communicate and coordinate across the organization to develop visual style guides that align with intent.
  3. Responsible for managing and supporting a team of graphic designers to bring concepts, presentations, and prototypes to life on schedule. Ensure that project schedules accurately support the art department needs.
  4. Maintain CPM identity templates and all production files.
  5. Coordinate with the leadership team on new/upcoming projects and marketing strategy/production schedule.
  6. Responsible for supporting print production, including coordinating with manufacturers and printers, to prepare production files to specification and file transmission, review and change pages either directly or by delegation.
  7. Works closely with the Director of Strategic Communications.
  8. Strong conceptual, graphic design, type, and page layout skills for projects including print and digital.
  9. Stay on top of the latest standards, processes, and trends in the visual design field.
  10. Responsible for art representation at all pre-production meetings for projects including photoshoots, video editing, broadcast, and fulfillment.
  11. Manage tasks, track approaching deadlines ensuring they are met, balance priorities, and communicate with other departments.
