Position Summary
The Director of Curriculum drives the strategy behind curriculum development in the School of Health Professions and is responsible for the planning and management of curriculum development, including managing course catalog submissions, changes, and additions as well as proposing new programs of study, micro credentials, specializations, and certificates. This position works in tandem with the Director of Assessment and Accreditation to ensure course-level outcomes are met using data-driven decision-making as part of the role. In addition, this position works closely with faculty, staff, and administration to inform and track curriculum development projects, in collaboration with the Learning Experience team. As a proxy for the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, the Curriculum Director reviews final versions of courses and bears the critical responsibility of ensuring quality. In addition, the Director of Curriculum ensures curriculum changes follow school level governance processes and manages curriculum changes through the University governance process and the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) review process.
