We are a team of passionate engineers and former teachers who believe that solving the literacy crisis begins with the implementation of Science of Reading instruction. At Project Read, we use cutting-edge AI technology to build evidence-based and user-friendly products that have a drastic impact on student learning.

Over the past 2 years, Project Read’s AI Tutor, **Decodable Generator,** and UFLI Assessment & Planning Portal have spread to thousands of schools throughout the United States and beyond. We have strong traction, are cash-flow positive, and are currently partnering with hundreds of school districts.

The Role: District Partnerships Associate

As a District Partnerships Associate, you’ll report to the Head of Partnerships and play a critical and direct role in developing new partnerships with schools and districts.

This is a high-agency and execution-focused role where your responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing high-value leads through research, email marketing, and direct outreach.
  • Leading product demos, answering customer questions, and nurturing sales leads through the sales funnel.
  • Maintaining detailed records in our CRM, Hubspot.
  • Supporting various sales ops needs such as customer billing and payment processing.

We’re a small team moving incredibly fast. A strong candidate will be able to lead sales calls and contribute meaningfully within their first few weeks on the job.

About You

  • You have a track-record of success as an educator. (The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of teaching experience and has strong knowledge in the Science of Reading.)
  • You have at least 1-2 years of sales experience.
  • You have experience using a CRM. (Our team utilizes Hubspot and the ideal candidate will have experience building reports, and leveraging email marketing tools within Hubspot or a similar CRM.)
  • You’re excited to work within a fast-paced environment within a fast-growing and rapidly evolving startup.
  • You have exceptional communication and follow-up skills; you’re excited to connect with a high volume of customers via video call, phone, and email.

Compensation

  • $65k / year
  • Expected annual bonus of $10-15k, based on team performance
