The Role

Certinia is seeking a motivated and creative eLearning Developer Intern to join our Education Services team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing and developing engaging and effective online learning experiences, with a focus on leveraging cutting-edge AI tools from Google. You will collaborate with experienced trainers and instructional designers to create impactful training materials. 

What You Will Do In This Role 

  • Assist in the development of eLearning courses using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise 360).
  • Contribute to the design and creation of interactive learning activities, simulations, and assessments.
  • Support the creation of multimedia content, including graphics, audio, and video, for eLearning modules.
  • Assist in the quality assurance testing of eLearning courses to ensure functionality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers to translate learning objectives into engaging eLearning content.
  • Organize and maintain eLearning project files and documentation.
  • Explore and integrate Google AI tools (e.g., Gemini, google vids, LM Notebook) to enhance eLearning content, such as:
    • Utilizing AI for rapid content development 
    • Generating personalized learning paths.
    • Creating interactive quizzes and assessments with AI-powered feedback.
    • Utilizing AI for automated content summarization.
    • Exploring AI-driven video and audio editing.
  • Assist in the research and evaluation of new eLearning tools and technologies, including AI-powered solutions.
  • Provide support in the maintenance and updating of existing eLearning courses.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Adhere to project timelines and meet deadlines.

What You Need To Be Successful In This Role 

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of eLearning principles and instructional design concepts.
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise 360) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic graphic design skills and experience with image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) is a plus.
  • Interest and basic understanding of AI concepts and a willingness to learn Google AI tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • A passion for learning and a desire to contribute to the creation of effective eLearning experiences.
  • Portfolio or examples of previous work/coursework (if available) are a plus.
