Job Description:

  • Lead the strategic alignment of all survey research, program evaluation, and assessment activities with institutional goals and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of course evaluations, leveraging data analytics to enhance the institutions ongoing commitment to teaching and learning excellence and to support faculty development.
  • Oversee institution survey initiatives, including complex sampling designs and advanced computational methodologies, to ensure high-quality data collection, comprehensive analysis, and compliance with ethical standards.
  • Synthesize evaluation and assessment data into actionable insights and create customized reports and dashboards for informed decision-making.
  • Establish Program Evaluation and Assessment Center as a national leader, and support faculty in securing grant proposals.
  • Serve as PI/Co-PI for grants, manage all phases of research, and leverage the center to expand funding and research opportunities.
  • Collaborate in the writing and preparation of grant proposals for externally funded research projects.
  • Oversee staff and budget allocation, develop a high-performing research team, and optimize the use of personnel and technology.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Develop cross-institution and multidisciplinary partnerships, enhance research capabilities.
  • Lead process optimization and integrate advanced technologies to enhance survey research efficiency and accuracy. Stay ahead in survey technologies and methodologies, using innovative tools to improve response rates through centralized management, respondent analytics, advanced sampling, and optimized scheduling.
  • Provide training and serve as a thought leader within the university, sharing expertise in survey research, program evaluation, and grant management with faculty and staff through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one consultations.

  • Oversee surveys related to community, using Sogolytics to manage institution survey projects.
  • Design and administer questionnaires, manage data pools, and coordinate effective sampling methodologies for internal surveys.
  • Administer and manage course evaluations using Explorance Blue, ensuring the successful rollout, testing, and reporting of course evaluation projects across the
  • Coordinate Course Evaluation related data loading from multiple enterprise systems like Cognos, Banner, and Oracle SQL databases, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
  • Prepare and verify course evaluation reports to support high-stakes decision-making.
  • Develop and distribute reports to senior leadership using PowerBI or MicroStrategy and Streamlit, creating user-friendly dashboards that facilitate data-driven decisions.
  • Leveraging data analysis tools, for example SPSS, STATA, R, Python, to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Manage and maintain university organizational charts using EDRAW.
  • Communicate survey results through survey websites using HTML and DRUPAL, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user accessibility.
  • Lead the application of NLP techniques to analyze qualitative survey responses, transforming unstructured data into valuable insights.
  • Demonstrate expertise in accessing, managing, and handling complex data sampling (e.g., stratified, cluster, multi-stage) from large national databases (e.g., IPEDS, NCES, NESC, SIPP, and the U.S. Census, etc.) and managing national benchmark survey (e.g., NSSE, etc.)
  • Proficient in research design using quasi-experimental methodologies and advanced statistical techniques such as Multivariate Regression, Time Series, Latent Class Analysis, Generalized Linear Models, Machine Learning, and NLP to support research analysis. A proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals.

Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Requires a Master’s degree in Higher Education and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in the Related Occupation.

Salary Information:

In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law,  the negotiated annual salary range for this position is $72,048.00-$135,072.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
