The Field People & Culture Training Leader provides strategic insight around training, leadership, and people development to restaurant operations leaders for US Field markets. This role will drive impact across multiple channels of the Taco Bell business by making important decisions related to people and leadership development processes, content, and delivery best practices that move the department and the brand forward. The position will provide leadership and coaching to key stakeholders within the field and be responsible for the support and execution of various training programs. Success looks like enhancing brand people development practices, stimulating behavior change across multiple brand levels, closing any gaps in restaurant training and development, and influencing a return on training investment. This role will help support Taco Bell’s commitment to brand excellence by fostering a people-centric culture, inspiring inclusivity, and fueling business growth through people. 

Candidates must reside within close proximity to one of the following regions: Indiana, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, California or New Mexico.

Responsibilities

The Day-to-Day:

  • Partner with P&C, L&D, and Operations to establish consistent restaurant training, tracking, and certification expectations within the US field teams
  • Provide coaching and support to multiple restaurant stakeholders on how to measure and improve employee development, training, and engagement
  • Work as a strategic partner with Market Leaders, Area Coaches, and Restaurant General Managers regarding the success and opportunities for people development 
  • Identify and scale training and people development best practices 
  • Utilizes appropriate resources to draw conclusions, deliver feedback, and provide recommendations to multiple cross-functional brand stakeholders on how to deliver, measure, and improve employee development and training
  • Facilitate in-person and/or virtual training that motivates, builds competencies, and improves individual/restaurant performance
  • Collect and analyze data gathered from training/people development technology platforms to assess training completion, impact and transfer of learning 
  • Obtain, organize, and/or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials
  • Prioritize restaurant people development through strategic bench planning and deploying specific leadership training initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, with sister brands, and international partners to develop training and development processes that will increase consistency, improve execution, and positively impact return on investment

Qualifications

Is this you? 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, organizational development, I/O psychology, instructional design, or a related field. 
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in training and development preferred. Previous QSR, restaurant operations, hospitality, or retail industry experience is a plus. 
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of training theories and best practices, instructional design, adult learning principles, human resources bench planning, and training program design and delivery, including developing training goals/objectives, instructor guides and associated materials.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups. Skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams, working independently, and adapting to changing priorities. Strategic thinker with a demonstrated track record of implementing scalable training solutions that meet current business needs.
  • Abilities: Ability to travel by car or plane to deliver training classes to brand leaders (20-50% travel). Ability to sit or stand for an extended duration. 
  • Candidates must reside within close proximity to one of the following regions: Indiana, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, California or New Mexico.

Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
