Goodheart-Willcox Publisher, a leading provider of educational products and services for Career and Technical Education, and Health and Wellness, is seeking an experienced Instructional Design Specialist. This individual will partner with G-W customers to design learning solutions by applying instructional design methodologies and creative approaches. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills.

What you’ll do:

• Design and develop learning solutions to meet customer’s needs and goals.
• Evaluate content development needs, define the best development plan, and execute plan for successful delivery.
• Create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
• Manage project from start to finish to ensure quality assurance throughout the process.
• Develop timelines and track milestones to ensure timely delivery.
• Design and develop high-impact professional development sessions.
• Apply adult learning theory in the creation of professional development solutions.
• Travel to in-person events 10-20% of the time.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree with instructional design focus is a plus, Certified educator preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in teaching and instructional design required. Six years preferred.
• Experience designing innovative curriculum courses.
• Experience with online teaching and development of online courses.
• Strong teamwork, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
