Job Summary

The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing engaging learning solutions that improve employee performance and support organizational goals. This role applies instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and technology tools to create a range of effective training experiences, including e-learning, instructor-led training (ILT), and blended programs. The Instructional Designer partners with subject matter experts (SMEs), HR partners, and cross-functional teams to analyze learning needs and deliver impactful content.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop learning programs including e-learning, ILT, vILT, and blended formats.
  • Apply models such as ADDIE and SAM to create learner-centered solutions.
  • Produce instructional materials such as outlines, storyboards, facilitator guides, job aids, and assessments.
  • Support training needs assessments by gathering and analyzing information from SMEs and stakeholders.Assist in defining learning objectives, target audiences, and performance goals.
  • Develop e-learning modules using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Created, edit, and incorporate multimedia elements (graphics, video, audio) to enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Work with the Learning Management System (LMS) to upload, test, and maintain training content.
  • Create evaluation tools to assess learning impact and knowledge retention.
  • Collect feedback and data to make recommendations for content revisions.
  • Assist in the periodic review and updating of existing training materials.
  • Collaborate closely with Instructional Design Team Lead and other team members to ensure quality and alignment with business needs.
  • Partner with SMEs and business leaders to obtain content expertise and validate accuracy.Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder discussions.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning and Development, or a related field (required).

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design or corporate learning.
  • Experience developing e-learning and instructor-led materials in a corporate setting.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools and LMS platforms; Articulate 360 Suite & Workday Learning preferred.
  • Experience with creating and editing multi-media resources (audio, video, photos, and images).
  • Competent in leveraging Generative A.I. tools within the instructional design process.
  • Certification Preferred but bot required- ATD Master Instructional Designer, CPLP, or other industry-recognized certifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  •  Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
