About the Team: 

The Grocery Outlet Store Support team is here to enable our Independent Operators and Aspiring Operators in Training (AOTs) to be successful Operators. We do this by providing world-class Project Management, Training, Communication, and Support services so our Independent Operators can focus on what matters: their families, business, customers, and communities. We build strong relationships with our Operators by being transparent and collaborative in all that we do and by looking for ways to improve the operator experience continuously.

About the Role: We are looking for an innovative and collaborative instructional designer to create and maintain world-class training for Independent Operators. This role reports to the Sr. Manager – Operator Development.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Recommending strategic, innovative approaches for learning programs that support the company’s Independent Operators.
  • Maintaining partnerships with stakeholders, cross-functional subject matter experts and third-party vendors to gain insight, identify needs, and recommend/design the best learning solutions for the subject matter and learner (e-learning, leader-led, reference materials, webinar, instructor-led, etc.).
  • Supporting learning design projects through the design lifecycle from analysis, content development, release, support, evaluation, and revision cycle.
  • Developing content for multiple delivery platforms (including digital and print), methodologies (including self-directed, facilitator-led, and small group learning), and audiences.
  • Developing assessments and metrics to measure program outcomes.
  • Partnering with facilitators/coaches for continuous improvement of existing learning content and development of new learning content.
  • Reviewing existing content for continued relevance and ongoing updates.
  • Planning work, monitoring progress, and documenting/resolving project issues.
  • Providing exemplary internal customer service with professionalism and ownership of learning deliverables.

About The Pay:

  • Base Salary Range: $95,000 – $105,000 Annually

  • Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.

About You: 

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience designing learning including e-learning, video, classroom, and related course materials.
  • Degree or certification in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Education related field preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools, including Articulate 360, and Storyline.
  • Proficiency with video development tools, including Vyond, and Camtasia.
  • Proficiency working in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with business simulation platforms.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems, such as Cornerstone.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects in a fast-paced, environment.
  • Committed to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration.
  • Self-starter with an ownership and results oriented mindset.
