General Purpose and Scope
The Instructional Designer is responsible for supporting and promoting quality competency-based education design practices across all instructional methods at the College, primarily focusing on online micro-credential and assessment development. The position also supports the Office of Educational Technology and Instructional Design and Academic Affairs departments on various special projects related to distance education, accessibility, universal design for learning, assessment, and open education resources.
This is a grant-funded, full-time position. There is no guarantee of continued employment beyond October 31, 2027.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Supervision Received: This position is directly supervised by the Assistant Vice President for Educational Technology and Instructional Design. Additionally, this position will collaborate closely with and receive indirect supervision from the Executive Director of Early Childhood Pathways & Initiatives.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $60,000 and is commensurate with education, skills, and relevant work experience.
