Job Summary
Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law seeks a creative and motivated instructional designer to join an established team supporting the Master of Legal Studies program and other academic programs at the Law School. The successful candidate will work directly with faculty to design, develop, and innovate the Law School’s rigorous, highly interactive, asynchronous online courses. The designer will help manage course development processes, ensure accessibility, facilitate faculty onboarding, provide assistance in the learning management system and other learning technologies, and advise faculty members on the selection and best use of appropriate tools, media, and instructional technology strategies to align with course learning objectives and assessment goals.
The chosen candidate will also work with the Graduate Studies team on projects related to academic transformation at the university, including adapting existing courses to a semester calendar and migrating materials to a new learning management system.
The position reports directly to the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies and Online Education, but will receive day-to-day directions from the Senior Instructional Designer on staff. An ideal candidate will be creative, communicate professionally, work well on a small team, and be willing to explore learning technology solutions to enhance online programs and courses.
