What We’re Looking For (Role Overview)
We’re looking for a detail-oriented contractor to support the production and launch of high-quality online learning programs for working adult learners. This is a hands-on role that’s ideal for someone who enjoys turning design plans into structured, well-executed learning experiences.
As an Instructional Technologist & Content Operations Specialist, you’ll work closely with instructional designers and content creators to build and maintain cohort-based courses in a learning platform. You’ll be responsible for formatting modules, integrating multimedia, managing assets, and ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and learner-ready. If you’re the kind of person who loves precision, clear structure, and making sure every detail is buttoned up before launch, this role is for you.

How You Will Create Impact (Key Responsibilities)
Course Build & Content Integration
- Build and publish course modules, lessons, quizzes, and media elements in a web-based learning platform
- Implement updates based on instructional design plans and content team feedback
- Test course functionality and accessibility prior to launch
- Ensure consistency in formatting, navigation, and branding across modules
Template Customization & Version Control
- Adapt existing course templates for specific departments or client needs (e.g. swapping examples, updating resources)
- Track version history and maintain clean file structures
- Organize and maintain shared content libraries, including videos, slides, and graphics
QA & Accessibility Support
- Review content for typos, formatting issues, or broken links
- Perform light editing or formatting to meet course standards
- Ensure all course materials meet accessibility requirements
Who You Are (Ideal Profile)
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Experienced working in LMS or digital content systems
- Able to follow formatting standards and design guidelines precisely
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams while working independently
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices is a plus
Contract Details
- Commitment: 25 hours/week over 16–20 weeks, starting as early as May 2025
- Format: Fully remote, working with InStride’s enterprise learning team
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
