Job Summary:

We are seeking a Leader Development Specialist (or Professional, Manager) with a focus on leadership development and instructional design to create and implement high-impact training programs for healthcare leaders across our national clinic network. This role is responsible for designing engaging, scalable learning experiences that equip clinical and administrative leaders with the skills needed to drive excellence in patient care and organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership Development & Instructional Design:

  • Design, develop, and implement leadership training programs for emerging, mid-level, and senior healthcare leaders.
  • Utilize instructional design models to create blended learning experiences, including e-learning modules, workshops, coaching programs, and self-paced resources.
  • Develop competency-based leadership pathways aligned with organizational goals, focusing on skills such as communication, decision-making, team management, emotional intelligence, and change leadership.
  • Leverage case studies, scenario-based learning, role-playing exercises, and assessments tailored to healthcare leadership challenges.

Program Implementation & Delivery:

  • Manage the end-to-end design, facilitation, and delivery of leadership training programs across multiple clinic locations.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Conduct training needs assessments, gap analyses, and stakeholder interviews to identify leadership development priorities.
  • Design and implement program evaluation tools (surveys, 360-degree feedback) to measure leadership training impact.
  • Stay updated on healthcare leadership trends, adult learning theories, and best practices to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Continuously update and refine content based on learner feedback and organizational needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 -7 years of experience in instructional design, leadership development, or training program management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience designing leadership training for healthcare professionals, clinical managers, or administrative leaders.
  • Proficiency in LMS platforms, e-learning authoring tools and virtual training technologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, training design, and project management skills.

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness. Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
  • Communication Skills: Good command of the English language. Second language is an asset but not required. Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
  • Customer Service & Organizational Awareness: Strong customer focus. Ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as well as a positive employee, physician and community relations.
  • Self-Management: Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development. Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limited supervision. Ability to work remotely effectively as required. 
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Expert in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.
    • Workday experience required.
