Position Summary:

The Training and Development Specialist works alongside the Tech Training and Development Lead to support the tech organization with training and development programs and needs. The Tech Training and Development Specialist
supports the tech organization to create and implement new training needs.

The Tech Training and Development Specialist will partner with the Tech Training and Development Lead to understand the organizational training and development needs. This role will work to take the areas that have been identified create content to support training and development gaps.

About the team:

The Clayton Technology HR team works to recruit, develop, and retain the Clayton Technology team members by
working closely together on all areas of the team member lifecycle. The HR team is comprised of multiple streams of
expertise to support the overall lifecycle of the tech team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordination and facilitation of learning/training workshops and trainings
  • Develop and maintain training documentations (manuals, QRGs, flowcharts, presentations and others) with the
    supervision of Tech Training and Development Lead
  • Assist with tracking of participation and effectiveness of training programs
  • Partner with Training and Development Lead to conduct needs analysis and job reviews to determine needed
    trainings and to create or procure
  • Act as point person for the administration of the learning management system (LMS)
  • Partner with Tech Training and Development Trainers and Instructional Designers to create and review training
    content that is needed within the organization
  • Work with technology team members and leaders to develop sustainable training and development programs
  • Work with technology leadership on succession planning and talent management related activities to support
    fundamentals
  • Manage the career path portal SharePoint site and other T&D websites aimed at offering team members a
    repository to guide their career
  • Partner with corporate Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) department on ad hoc development
    programming as well as Ignite, internal professional development program, – this includes selection, tracking,
    scheduling, and communication
  • Work with HR team to communicate training and development offerings to technology team members and
    leadership
  • Maintain management and team member toolkits such as trainings, guidelines, competencies models, individual
    development plans (IDPs), etc.
  • Partner with HR team to effectively execute mid-year and annual performance management processes
  •  Other duties as assigned

 

Primary Qualifications:

  • 1+ years prior experience in facilitating and content creation
  •  Novice Knowledge of training methodologies
  •  Strong working knowledge and experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to present and facilitate trainings in-personal, virtually, or hybrid
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changes when necessary
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Desired skills:

  • Excellent communication skills verbal, listening, written, and negotiation
  • Strong understanding of program and project management
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with content creation withing programs Canva, PowerPoint,
    Articulate, Storyline, SharePoint and Adobe Captivate
  • Understanding of KPIs identification and KPI management/analysis
  • Understanding of Change Management ability to implement within the organization
