Job Description:

The Learning Specialist will support the execution of Pathstone’s learning strategy by coordinating learning programs, managing the Learning Lab (LMS), and ensuring a seamless experience for team members across all stages of their development. This role blends program administration, light instructional design, operational coordination, and system management to help deliver high‑quality learning experiences. Working in partnership with teams across the organization, the Learning Specialist plays a key role in enhancing the team member experience and strengthening our learning culture.

Key Responsibilities: 

Learning Program Administration

  • Own and maintain the Learning Calendar, including scheduling and coordination of live and virtual learning sessions.
  • Manage logistics for training and events, including invitations, facilitator support, note‑taking, and post-session follow‑up.
  • Prepare, update, and distribute learning materials and resources in multiple formats.
  • Support the onboarding experience by maintaining new hire learning agendas and assisting with orientation logistics.

Learning Management System (LMS) Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for LMS (Learning Lab) questions, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Maintain LMS content, workflows, enrollments, and training records.
  • Upload, template, test, and audit LMS content to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Apply light instructional design principles when converting or updating materials for optimal learner experience.

Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Document processes, standards, and best practices to drive efficiency.
  • Collect, organize, and synthesize learner feedback to support enhancements.
  • Stay current with L&D tools, trends, and best practices to bring forward new ideas.
  • Identify opportunities to improve learning workflows and the overall learner experience.

Event & Logistics Coordination

  • Support in-person and virtual L&D events by coordinating logistics such as travel, catering, space setup, and vendor management.
  • Ensure operational details are executed smoothly for seamless delivery.
  • Maintain an organized, learner‑focused environment across all touchpoints.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, HR, Program Management, Hospitality, Event Planning, Executive Administration, Customer Support, or a related field (internships considered).
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Attention to detail, curiosity, and a strong client-service mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of learning platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Pitch, or Canva.
  • Exposure to instructional design or content development.
  • Familiarity with L&D best practices, tools, or event facilitation support.

Pay Transparency:

Pathstone’s expected starting base compensation range for the position as of the time of this posting is $60,000 – $65,000 per year. The actual base compensation selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) experience, education, specialty and training. The successful candidate(s) may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus award.
