The Cross Practices Organization:

The Cross Practices organization serves as the strategic backbone of Americas Services Delivery. It is responsible for defining and supporting the overarching framework that empowers our delivery practices – and ultimately, Adobe’s customers – to succeed. The team drives strategy, governance, and quality assurance across all Americas Services Delivery solutions, while establishing best practices and processes for emerging service offerings. Comprised of three specialized teams – Customer Solutions & Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Project Quality & Risk Management – Cross Practices is united by a singular goal: to shape the Americas Services Delivery strategy, enabling greater agility and accelerating consistent, high-quality value realization for our customers through delivery excellence.

Role Summary:

The Professional Development Specialist will play a critical role within the Customer Solutions & Innovation Team and is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to enhance employee skills and organizational performance.  They assess training needs, create educational materials, facilitate workshops, and measure program effectiveness to drive continuous learning, productivity, career growth, and high-quality customer delivery.   The Professional Development Strategist must be a proactive problem-solver with strong customer-first thinking, attention to detail, and an eye for user experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop Professional Enablement Strategy: Develop and implement professional enablement strategy that aligns with business objectives and addresses both internal and external customer needs.
  • Needs Assessment: Identify skill gaps and training needs through surveys, interviews, meeting with managers, and leveraging the voice of the customer. 
  • Curriculum Development: Create and update enablement content, including online courses and training documentation. 
  • Instruction & Facilitation: Design workshops, onboarding sessions, and select & facilitate instructional sessions of outside professional enablement courses. 
  • Evaluation & Analysis: Analyze training effectiveness, adjusting programs for performance.
  • Operational management: Develop intake, design and creation processes.  Maintain schedules and status reporting of enablement creation progress. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Delivery, Solution Customer Engagement, Strategy & Readiness, and Global Operations to gain alignment or inputs on enablement when needed.
  • Voice of the Customer (VoC): Use customer feedback and insights, in addition to research on industry trends and audience behavior, and customer feedback to inform enablement planning and prioritization that directly enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in instructional design, or designing programs at scale,  preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
  • A portfolio demonstrating excellence in professional development strategy, enablement design and creation.  Understanding Program Management a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, agile team environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a customer-centric or customer solutions environment is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in document development tools including PowerPoint, InDesign, Adobe Express.
  • Experience with technical delivery of the Adobe Digital Experience product suite is a plus.

Performance Measurement:

This role will be measured against a predefined Business-Driven Objective (BDO) that aligns with Adobe Consulting’s strategic goals. The BDO will focus on:

  • Increased Time to Value
  • Consistent usage of Role-based operating rhythms, included delivery role definitions and rationalization
  • Increased automations in delivery processes
  • Increased asset reusability
  • Defined framework for cross training strategy

Progress toward the BDO will be reviewed quarterly and used to guide performance feedback, team alignment, and strategic prioritization.

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $110,000 — $202,250 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
