About Echtus

Echtus is a boutique professional services firm that designs customer education programs that drive real business impact. We build end-to-end learning solutions—strategy, curricula, and production—for innovative B2B companies. Our approach is programmatic: strategy leads, content and delivery follow.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a detail-obsessed Instructional Designer who can jump into active client projects, translate program strategy into polished learning assets, and keep production humming. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable shaping storyboards and producing beautifully formatted learning materials, all while working asynchronously with our team and client SMEs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Design & Build

  • Translate learning objectives into outlines, storyboards, and scripts for digital learning
  • Produce and format learning materials
  • Apply adult-learning best practices and Echtus’s programmatic approach to ensure alignment with business outcomes.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Partner with lead strategist and client SMEs to iterate quickly and meet deadlines.
  • Manage multiple workstreams concurrently, balancing quality, speed, and scope.
  • Conduct light QA on modules and documents (formatting, links, functionality, accessibility basics).
  • Keep impeccable file organization, naming conventions, and version control in shared drives.

Quality & Compliance

  • Incorporate accessibility considerations (e.g., alt text, headings, contrast) and follow WCAG-minded practices for documents and slides.
  • Prepare assets compatible with common LMS requirements (SCORM/xAPI exports when applicable).

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience, in Instructional Design related field.

Tools & Craft

  • Working proficiency in common e-learning tools, design platforms (Canva, Adobe), and willingness to learn Kwantic.io
  • Comfort with Google Workspace; familiarity with ClickUp or similar PM tools.

Capabilities

  • Strong grasp of adult learning principles and customer education (product training) strategies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail; follows templates, styles, and brand systems without drift.
  • Excellent written communication and version-controlled collaboration in a remote setting.
  • Self-management: able to scope tasks, estimate time, and hit dates with minimal oversight.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience designing customer education for B2B SaaS, fintech, or adtech.
  • Prior agency/consulting experience and comfort with client-facing review cycles.
  • Assessment writing and basic data/reporting literacy (linking objectives → KPIs).

Engagement Details

Part-time, project-based workload that may flex week-to-week (within the 15–25 hr range), targeting full-time by 2026.
