The Program Manager for Workforce Development will lead the design, implementation, and management of innovative workforce development programs at the U-M Center for Innovation (UMCI) in Detroit. This role will focus on building high-impact training initiatives that support Detroit residents in developing in-demand skills and competencies, preparing them for well-paying jobs, and contributing to the city’s economic growth.
You will report to the Director, Academic Content Strategy.

The position is designed as a hybrid role with a blend of remote and onsite responsibilities, requiring the presence of individuals for on-site engagement and collaboration with Detroit’s community leaders and organizations a few days a week
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
