About us
Story Arc Learning is a dynamic and creative learning content agency committed to transforming learning through the power of story. Our team runs on curiosity, collaboration, and storytelling. We bring together the art of narrative and the science of learning. If you’re someone who loves shepherding projects from concept through delivery and thrives in a creative-but-structured environment, we’d love to meet you.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a seasoned Project Manager to drive our instructional design projects from kickoff through launch. You will be the glue between clients, subject-matter experts, designers, developers, and stakeholders—ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and on budget, while also meeting our high-quality standards. With at least 5 years of project-management experience (specifically in instructional design or e-learning), you’ll bring strong organization and people skills, along with a creative mindset. You’ll work ~20 hours/week and will work across multiple client projects.
This role is a great fit if…
- Your natural instinct is to lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects and you know your way around instructional design and e-learning projects.
- Your list of hobbies might include defining and tracking project scope, timeline, budget, deliverables, and quality criteria (but you might want to rethink your hobbies).
- The tinker toy version of you would be a spool wheel because you connect the pieces. You can coordinate across teams: instructional designers, developers, SMEs, graphic designers, and external vendors.
- You see yourself as bridge between two worlds: client and project team. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and clients—providing clear updates, managing expectations, and escalating issues early.
- You think agendas and charts are cool. You’ll facilitate project-status meetings, maintain dashboards, and ensure documentation is current and accessible.
- You might be a little clairvoyant and can proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers; develop contingency plans to keep the project on track.
- You have the sleight of hand of a magician and can ensure smooth hand-offs between phases (analysis → design → development → review → launch) and enforce quality standards at each stage.
- You can see the forest for the trees and can support resource planning: monitor workloads, ensure the right people are assigned, and help maintain consistent progress. But, you also don’t lose sight of the details.
- You want to be part of a team and enjoy collaboration. You’ll support a team culture, encourage open communication, and champion continuous improvement—helping the team refine processes, tools, and templates.
You definitely need to have…
- A Bachelor’s degree (in project management, instructional design, business, or related discipline).
- Minimum of 5 years of project-management experience, specifically with instructional design or e-learning projects.
- Experience in a client-services or agency environment.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills—able to keep sight of the big picture while managing details.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical or complex content into clear, actionable information for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships, negotiate priorities, and keep teams aligned under tight timelines.
- Experience with Monday.com project-management tool and ability to adopt new tools and processes quickly. You do specifically need Monday.com skills as you’ll need to be able to take over projects in progress and have a knowledge of what may make project boards better.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid schedule: primarily remote but able to come onsite in Covington, KY when needed.
- Creative mindset with an appreciation for instructional design methodologies and story-driven learning experiences.
If would also be great if you had…
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
- Prior exposure to learning-tech integration or learning-management-system (LMS) deployments.
- Interest or experience in storytelling, gamification, and immersive learning-design techniques.
We’ll provide you with…
- A part-time role (~20 hrs/week) with flexibility to manage your own schedule (within project needs).
- Opportunity to collaborate with a passionate, creative team dedicated to transforming learning.
- A role that balances structure (project-management rigor) with creativity (supporting story-driven design).
- A supportive, growth-oriented environment where your insights and process improvements are valued.
