Position Overview

Under limited supervision, produces consistently designed instructor-led, stand-alone and CBT training courses, including end user system and process/procedure manuals, online help files, and training materials. Understands, follows and communicates the established instructional design and development life cycle. Develops clear training needs analysis. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the service role a trainer plays in meeting management requested Enterprise learning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with business units to identify employee training opportunities, assessing training effectiveness following delivery of training and education programs and determining next steps. Interview subject matter experts (SME) to determine business-specific aspects of learning objectives and work with SME’s to design training programs that are pertinent to training to be delivered.
  • Provides assistance to the EPMO Learning Solutions Team lending insight and expertise based on years of training, education and development experience. Demonstrates proven support service skills that engage associates by conveying a message of cooperation and flexibility in meeting training needs.
  • Design, develop and deliver learning programs that improve job skills and prepare employees to leverage RGA enhancements. Use platform and one-on- one techniques. Facilitate participation, employing accepted adult learning methodologies.
  • Design and conduct pre and post-course assessments and track results. Conduct Level 3 assessments following delivery of training. Communicate results to management. Recommend additional or modify training based on results.
  • Collaborate with Process Management and Business Transformation teams to develop supporting documentation for process / system changes.
  • Designs and develops curriculum, integrating traditional classroom presentations, multimedia education, tutorials, and computer-assisted instruction.
  • Determines instructional methods and produces course materials (e.g., job aids, lesson plans/instructor guides and training manuals) that are simple, user friendly, and visual.
  • Provides training to new and current employees: on-the-job training and refresher training.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent related experience required
  • 8+ Years training experience in a business environment required
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Camtasia or Captivate preferred
  • Multi media instructional design and delivery background preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word skills & Microsoft Excel skills; Basic Microsoft Outlook skills; Basic SQL skills required
  • Ability to translate needs/processes into replicable training materials for delivery. Ability to train others using proven platform training skills. Demonstrated adult learning skills; Ability to share and impart knowledge. Ability to conduct one on one training required
  • Basic knowledge of Accounting required
  • Must be flexible and adaptive to change; Ability to change direction and take on other areas of expertise; Change initiation skills required
  • Advanced persuasion skills when working with customers to resolve issues/problems. Ability to resolve conflict required
  • Basic ability to read and interpret treaty language and to apply it appropriately to training required
  • Basic goal setting skills. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Takes initiative and is accountable. Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives required
  • Ability to work independently as well as work in a team environment required
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills and organizational skills required
  • Advanced ability to investigate, analyze and solve complex problems/issues. Value judgment and investigative skills required
  • Intermediate SQL skills preferred
  • Reinsurance industry knowledge preferred
  • Progress toward FLMI, ALHC or other relevant professional accreditation Preferred

Compensation Range:

$78,080.00 – $110,860.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
