The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) has an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development and Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist for the Office of Human Resources.
The Learning and Development/LMS Specialist is responsible for assessing organizational needs to drive training initiatives and implementing suitable training solutions. The Learning and Development Specialist will have the primary role of managing and maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate will be experienced in training, instructional design, facilitation, eLearning, customer-friendly, and a team player. The Learning and Development Specialist will actively create, design, develop, deliver, and evaluate effective methods to educate and enhance the performance of all employees.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience: Two (2) years related HR or LMS system administration experience with one of the mainstream LMS platforms (e.g., Skillsoft Percipio, LinkedIn Learning, Cornerstone).

Certification/Licensure: NA
Other: Proficient in the use and functions of learning management software and systems.
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.

Hiring Range: $65,000 – $79,700, commensurate with education and experience.
