This individual will be a learning technologist and instructional designer responsible for creating new digital training assets to meet the needs of our modern learners in retail. They will, with Retail Learning Manager, support change management and performance consulting skills as they refresh and modernize existing training content and finding new efficiencies that improve employee experience.
In this role, the successful individual will work with Hershey stakeholders. Retail Development Team to design, develop and implement learning programs to meet the growing needs of The Hershey Company following the ADDIE or similar instructional design models. The role requires adherence to established learning standards, corporate visual standards, and will be required to produce learning objects and instructional sound programs through various technology-based tools.
Major Duties/Responsibilities
Develop Educational Materials through Instructional Design and Development.
- Engages with project sponsor/stakeholders to ensure proper development of learning solutions to answer business needs, including conducting necessary research to support development process.
- Works collaboratively with instructional designers, subject matter experts (SMEs) and team members to derive training content
- Works with other Hershey learning professionals to leverage current technology and anticipate industry trends & online best practices
- Develops and implements design documentation for learning projects using the best modality for the adult learners, including e-learning, blended, instructor led training, and performance support materials.
- Project manages the development of assigned learning projects.
- Supports the creation and maintenance of the Retail upskilling programs
- Supports the OCM training of capabilities advancements (ex, THRIVE and Image Recognition)
- Creates, publishes, tests and troubleshoots, and maintains e-learning and simulations (including advanced actions/quizzing) for web-based delivery.
- Produces and maintains training support materials including workbooks, job aids, quick reference guides and online help using department tools, templates and standards.
Program Manager for individual, multi-week/month, and cohort-based learning programs.
- Lead the scheduling of learners into courses and learning programs
- Develop and deploy after-learning assessments, track responses, and report data
- Serve as communication support between learners, product owners and facilitators, including Retail Bulletin
- Coordinate and serve as technical producer for virtual classroom facilitation, in-person classroom facilitation, and hybrid facilitation classrooms
- Monitor vendor scope of work (SOW) and deliverables for proper accounting and reconciliation of goods and services
- Work with vendors to vet viability of and implementation of external learning programs as it relates to Hershey Company standards.
- Coordinate production and translation of training materials and assists with associated deployment/rollout activities.
- Expert tracking and monitoring of cohort attendees to multi-month learning programs
Key administrator and coordinator of Learning Management System & Instructional Design Tools
- Maintain and administer items in learning management system
- Maintain skills and delivery with various Learning Development software
- Maintenance and support of LMS content including aiding other LMS administrators with course assignments and completions
- Creation of learning programs and online course evaluations
- Assignment profile creation
- Update the Retail SharePoint sites and other retail specific channels
- Create direct links to learning assets in the LMS
- Upload e-learning
- Troubleshoot LMS issues and test solutions
- Create LMS reports
Create process and maintain external learning repository for non-employee affiliates (such as our international distributors); work with our IT infrastructure to deliver safety and quality courses without compromising the overall security of the LMS

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Development, Communications, Graphic Design or related fields, or equivalent 1-3 years of work experience in related field.
Experience:

- 1-3 years of instructional design (willing to consider internships withing years of experience).
- Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate
- Audacity or similar audio recording application
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver)
- Adobe Acrobat (PDF)
- Vyond
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 Suite including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Portfolio review of training content required.
Preferred:
Proficiency in learning development software such as:
- SucccessFactors experience strongly desired, specifically the Learning Management module
- Experience with Learning Management System administration – SuccessFactors preferred
- Experience with WebEx Virtual, Adobe Virtual, or other live virtual classroom tools
- Executive presence and poise, composure under pressure, and collaborative working style
- Ability to influence stakeholders
- Voice over or audio recording experience
