This position is responsible for promoting effectiveness by serving as an eLearning developer, instructional designer, trainer in leadership development, as well as a coordinator, resource and liaison for department training activities.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, builds, and implements web-based, multi-media development solutions which use instructional methods that best suit the content and learning needs of participants.
  • Develops curriculum, course material and assessment techniques that meet the defined learning objectives.
  • Supports design and implementation of projects.
  • Provides subject matter support to appropriate areas.
  • Collaborates proactively with team members and other internal clients to provide the most appropriate solutions to meet client needs.
  • Provides technology support and program management in support of department initiatives.
  • Reviews teaching and learning programs to assist their potential for on-line delivery and advises on which areas of the curriculum can be redesigned/enhanced using eLearning.
  • Designs, develops and delivers training for leaders in support of ongoing leadership and development initiatives.
  • Facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, eLearning, blended learning and on-the-job coaching.
  • Oversee the development of testing scenarios, test scripts, testing schedules, resources, and testing outcomes.
  • Contributes to initiatives by creating resources, tools, and other materials to support learning and drive culture change.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under aggressive time frames.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to meet production deadlines.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Ability to quickly understand and assimilate new technologies.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development, Business, Communications, Education, or related area, or equivalency.
  • Five to seven years of curriculum development, facilitation, and instructional design experience.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience filming and editing video productions, including graphic elements and audio tracks.
  • Experience creating and editing scripts and video concepts.

  • This is a sedentary position that may exert up to 10 pounds and may lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This position involves sitting most of the time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
