Job Summary
The Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention is a transdisciplinary institute that works to engage the breadth of expertise across the University of Michigan, with input from nonacademic stakeholders, to generate knowledge and advance solutions that will decrease firearm injury in the United States.
The Michigan Firearm Law Implementation Program (M-FLIP) at the Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention (IFIP) seeks a highly skilled training and technical assistance (TTA) Lead/Specialist for the implementation of Michigan’s extreme risk protection order (ERPO). The associate level TTA Specialist is responsible for developing and coordinating training programs and technical assistance activities across multiple sectors including law enforcement, healthcare, education, and community violence intervention. In addition to those activities, the intermediate level TTA Lead would also manage a team of TTA specialists. The ideal candidate is a flexible and creative problem solver, who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a multi-disciplinary approach.

Work Schedule
This position is for a hybrid work schedule of both in-person and remote work with two days of on campus work expected each week.

Underfill Statement
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. The salary offered will be commensurate with the level of position. There are two levels possible – Associate and Intermediate.
