Position Summary:

The Training Generalist is responsible for delivering engaging, high impacting training experiences that build employee skills and drive business results for our remote workforce dispersed across the U.S. This role is primarily focused on training facilitation and delivery (75%), with secondary responsibilities in instructional design and content development (25%). The Training Generalist thrives in front of groups, excels at creating positive and inclusive learning environments and contributes to the design and improvements of training materials that support organizational goals.  

 

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Director of Learning & Development.

 

 

What you will do:

Facilitation & Delivery (primary focus 75%)

  • Deliver engaging learning experiences across various formats: virtual /in-person, blended/hybrid learning, field training, simulations, workshops, team building activities.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation training on a regular basis and support new hire onboarding administration, including LMS set up, course assignments, tracking progress, reporting and miscellaneous correspondence, etc.
  • Lead training, customized or ready-made programs, in diverse areas such as technical/procedural skills, soft skills, leadership and employee development, customer support and sales, compliance and change management
  • Evaluate trainee performance through assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback to support employee growth and development.
  • Track and report on training effectiveness and learner outcomes through performance results and feedback.
  • Coordinate training logistics: scheduling, notifications, calendars, announcements, intranet postings, communication with learners, etc.
  • Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging a culture of learning, teamwork and inclusion where all employees feel respected, and motivated to reach their full potential.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in learning delivery to continuously improve facilitation methods.

Instructional Design & Content Development (secondary focus 25%)

  • Design and update instructional materials such as, new hire orientation, facilitator guides, participant guides,user guides, presentations, job aids, handouts, presentations, etc.
  • Design and develop self-paced eLearning courses, based on business needs.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to tailor training solutions to business needs.
  • Develop or adapt content for instructor-led training and when needed, self-paced eLearning.
  • Revise and enhance course content based on feedback, surveys, and audit results to ensure accuracy, quality and relevance.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred: ideally in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience in training delivery including experience in remote/virtual environments; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven facilitation skills with ability to engage audiences of varying sizes from small groups to 100+ participants.
  • Experience with instructional design and/or eLearning development.
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory, adult learning theory, design thinking and learner engagement strategies.
  • Proficient with Articulate or related development software.
  • Skilled in presenting lively, dynamic sessions with excellent communication and public speaking ability.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to focus on details, adhere to quality standards and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours within all US time zones and travel (approximately 10%); will include overnight travel.
  •  Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams).

 

Physical Demands:

Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: 

  • Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)  
  • Keyboarding (70-90%)  
  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone requiring close vision (70-100%) 

 

Work Environment:

100% Remote:  Work environment is at home.

Compensation:  

$60,000 – $75,000 plus [insert commission or bonus plan if applicable] determined by competitive market analysis and internal equity considerations. Final compensation will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs.
