Your Impact:

As a Training Solutions Manager you will own aspects of the day-to-day operations for both small and large scale customer training events.

You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects within Axon Training to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired goals. You will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to develop and execute project plans, track progress, and communicate updates to key stakeholders.

You will lead and be responsible for program management specifically to Axon Training Products. Developing sales and marketing collateral for the Axon Training Pod program (ATP), the Developmental and Experiential Leadership Academy (DELTA), and additional new revenue generating products and courses under the Axon Training umbrella.

Additionally you will build and cultivate the sales pipeline for these programs, and ensure the pipeline and revenue forecasts are current and up to date.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for multiple projects.
  • Coordinate and prioritize project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and develop solutions to address them.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and changes to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review progress, discuss challenges, and provide guidance.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, goals, and success criteria.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and suppliers as needed.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and make recommendations for future projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, trends, and technologies to continuously improve project management processes.

Responsible for operations supporting Axon Training Events to deliver positive training outcomes for customers

  • Collaborate with the Axon Training Team and internal Axon Organization cohorts to support customer and instructor related needs.
  • Continually identifies and implements Axon Training process and workflow improvements as necessary reducing redundancy and increasing efficiencies.
  • Accelerate adoption of Axon solutions through training opportunities and initiatives (Virtually & In-person)
  • Required to travel a minimum of 50% of the time to support customer facing engagements with flexibility on short and advanced notice(s).
  • Clearly deliver training theory and best practices instruction to internal partners, instructors, operators, and our customers.

Act as Subject Matter Expert:

Be an expert in Axon’s products and services; effectively deliver in-person training and product demonstrations to internal teams, customers, potential customers, and our distributors.

  • Join Forces with Axon product Leads to maintain expertise and proficiency on new technologies and products

Your Day-to-Day:

As a Training Solutions Manager, you will:

  • Manage aspects of the day to day operations to support Axon training state academy programs to ensure our customers receive a world-class training experience.
    • Liaison with existing and new state academy leaders in order to bring new facilities into the fold
    • Coordinate logistics and secure partnership agreements in furtherance of the new initiative
  • Program Management of the Axon Training Pod (ATP)/VR Initiative
    • Attempt to build pipeline for the new ATP/VR Initiative
    • Technical and customer support via email and telephone
      • General Training Inquires
      • Assist in the proliferation and scaling of ATP interest and business development
  • Provide In-Person support for Axon Training customer engagements with flexibility on short and advanced notice(s).
    • Deliver product demonstrations to internal partners, customers, potential customers, and our distributors.
    • Collaborate with Axon Executives and Axon Sales teams to deliver training initiatives
    • Assist those training departments which are having challenges with optimizing outcomes and achieving higher levels of efficiencies with their TASER Program.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 50% travel required
    • Ability to manage day to day responsibilities while traveling
  • 3+ years of teaching experience (classroom, online, or both); professional experience in training, adult education, and higher education
  • Proven knowledge of training development and apply this knowledge to a law enforcement/public safety context.
  • Experience and interest in learning new/emerging educational technology (VR/AR, mobile-based learning, online learning platforms, etc.)
  • Scope of Problems to Solve:
    • Preparation: Stays current on the latest product features and benefits to appropriately train customers.
    • Goal setting: Delivers against assigned functional and individual M&Ms.
  • Communication and Influence:
    • Vision: Understands team’s vision and can answer questions from cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Alignment: Clarifies their understanding of deliverables, priorities, and timelines for assignments within their team. Proactively communicates and ensures alignment with stakeholders outside the Training team.
    • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Presence: Exceptional presentation skills that facilitate and enhance on-premises learning and drive adoption through product demonstrations.
  • Technical Depth and Creativity: MS Office Technology: Proficient in Microsoft office suite, slack, Carbon Voice, Voxer, Sharepoint and Smartsheets.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 89,200 in the lowest geographic market and USD 133,800 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
