Position Overview:

Training Support Intern

As a Cheesecake Training Support Intern, you will play an integral part in supporting our Staff Training department by assisting with ongoing projects and responsibilities that relate to your future career. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of how a Performance Development department functions by interacting with the entire team as well as cross functionally with other departments.

Reporting to the Training Manager, you will work with a Staff Training team of five, located in Calabasas Hills, CA, supporting the Performance Development Department function for a $3.4 billion public company with over 300 restaurants and more than 47,500 staff members.

Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:

  • Learn from a team focused on developing innovative and interactive learning solutions that engage the learner and support our culture of sharing and fun.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of our competency-based learning tools, including job aids, leader led materials, job shadowing experiences, coaching tools, web-based eLearning, testing and certifications, as well as other development tools that support our company’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Review feedback and partner with the Instructional Design Team to implement improvements as part of continuous improvement cycles.
  • Support coordination of components of large-scale training events, such as our annual General Manager’s Conference.

What we require:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Completed a minimum 2 years in post-secondary education.
  • Majoring in Instructional Design or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Available to work from the Support Center at least 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
