The Senior Manager, Learning Design & Programs supports Tatte Academy by translating strategy into learning experiences & certification programs that bring Tatte’s mission, craft, and culture to life. This role leads the design, development, and continuous improvement of core programs including Onboarding, MIT/CIT Journeys, Leadership Development, and functional certifications across Café, Bakery, and Support Center roles. Working closely with Field Training, Culinary, and Operations partners, this leader ensures that all learning materials are practical, brand-aligned, and operationally executable. They manage instructional design processes, digital learning systems, and program governance ensuring every learning experience is easy to use, and drives readiness, engagement, and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Learning Design & Curriculum Development

  • Translate strategic L&D priorities into scalable, modular learning programs.
  • Lead the design and development of onboarding, leadership, and certification pathways using ADDIE or similar frameworks.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (Culinary, Bakery, Operations, People) to ensure learning reflects operational reality.
  • Maintain the Tatte learning brand-consistent tone, look, and feel across all materials.
  • Oversee storyboarding, content authoring, and multimedia production through internal and external partners.

Program Management & Governance

  • Manage the lifecycle of enterprise learning programs: planning, piloting, rollout, evaluation, and refresh cycles.
  • Partner with the Director of L&D to establish annual learning calendars and deployment priorities.
  • Implement governance processes for certification, ensuring consistency across markets and functions.
  • Track program completion, effectiveness, and business impact through established KPIs.

Digital Learning Systems & Tools

  • Serve as primary business owner for LMS (UKG Learning or equivalent) and related learning technology.
  • Ensure content is current, accessible, and integrated into Tatte’s systems and workflows.
  • Partner with IT and HR Systems on data integrity, dashboards, and learner analytics.
  • Introduce innovative delivery formats (microlearning, mobile, blended learning).

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with the Field Training team to ensure all materials are pilot-tested and executable in caf√©s.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and Ops leaders to align programs with career paths and performance systems.
  • Manage relationships with external design vendors, contractors, and learning partners as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between functional experts and field teams to ensure content relevance and usability.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track success metrics (completion, readiness, time-to-productivity, program NPS).
  • Gather learner and leader feedback to inform program improvements.
  • Recommend enhancements to content, systems, and delivery models based on analytics and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • 8 years of experience in Learning Design, Instructional Design, or Program Management within hospitality, retail, or fast-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to design engaging learning content and manage multiple concurrent programs.
  • Proficiency with learning platforms (UKG, Articulate 360, Rise, or similar).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience translating complex operational concepts into practical, learner-friendly materials.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Certification in Instructional Design or Adult Learning (ATD, CPLP, etc.).
  • Experience implementing certification or blended learning programs across multi-unit organizations.
