Job Title:  Educational Impact Manager, Story of America

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

About Us:

Amira Learning accelerates literacy outcomes by delivering the latest reading and neuroscience with AI. As the leader in third-generation edtech, Amira listens to students read out loud, assesses mastery, helps teachers supplement instruction, and delivers 1:1 tutoring. Validated by independent university and SEA efficacy research, Amira is the only AI literacy platform proven to achieve gains surpassing 1:1 human tutoring, consistently delivering effect sizes over 0.4.

Rooted in over thirty years of research, Amira is the first, foremost, and only proven Intelligent Assistant for teachers and AI Reading Tutor for students—serving as a district’s “growth engine” by unifying assessment, instruction, and tutoring around high-quality instructional materials.

Trusted by more than 2,000 districts and working in partnership with twelve state education agencies, Amira is helping 3.5 million students worldwide become motivated and masterful learners.

Now we’re bringing that same rigor, outcomes-focus, and product excellence into Social Studies. Story of America is Amira’s entry into US History supplemental tools—bringing history to life for middle and high school students while giving teachers vetted, curatable resources and assessments aligned to state standards and supportive of ELA standards. In a moment when student performance and engagement in civics and U.S. history are at all time lows nationwide—NAEP reports just 13% of 8th graders at/above Proficient in U.S. history—schools urgently need high-quality, teacher-ready support.

Job Summary:

The Educational Impact Manager (EIM) is first and foremost responsible for delivering value to educators. This is not a siloed role– it requires athleticism: educational chops, business acumen, and tech-savviness. The EIM is tasked with delivering outcomes to current customers and building pull for what’s next— this means driving usage and referenceability in the short-term while leading pilots for a cutting-edge AI tool in the longer-term.

Essential Functions:

1) Renewals: Drive Value in Strategic Accounts

  • Own a prioritized book of business with a clear goal: high renewals via sustained adoption.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to district and school stakeholders (curriculum leaders, principals, coaches, teachers).
  • Lead onboarding and ongoing enablement, including high-quality PD and executive-ready impact updates.
  • Monitor usage/health data to identify risks early and run intervention plans that lift engagement.
  • Develop champions into advocates (references, testimonials, case studies)

2) Pilot Management: Run AI Pilots and Feed Learnings to Product/R&D

  • Design and execute pilots end-to-end: success criteria, timeline, stakeholder map, training plan, and measurement.
  • Deliver pilot kickoff + training, office hours, and ongoing support to ensure high participation and clean learnings.
  • Capture educator feedback + usage signals and translate them into actionable insights for R&D (what works, where it breaks, what to build next).
  • Convert pilots into early adoptions.

3) Teacher Engagement Engine: Build a Teacher Community

  • Create a scalable teacher engagement motion (webinars, cohorts, educator-led showcases, newsletters, “champions”/ambassadors).
  • Utilize data analytics to segment educators and personalize the content to their experience level, product usage, and goals.
  • Develop repeatable “community loops” that generate stronger classroom usage and references.
  • Use AI-enabled systems to scale communications, segmentation, and support (personalized nudges, role-based pathways, self-serve resources).

Qualifications (Education and Experience):

  • 3–7+ years in customer success, implementation, educator PD, account management, or engagement roles (K–12 edtech strongly preferred).
  • Fantastic relationship building skills; can earn trust quickly with educators and district leaders.
  • Experience leading community programming (webinars, cohorts, ambassador programs).
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools for core job functions.
  • Strong project management, detail orientation, and follow-through across many moving parts.
  • Data fluency: can turn usage + engagement signals into a clear plan.
  • Comfortable using CRMs and engagement tooling (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot/ChurnZero) for tracking outreach and adoption.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Social Studies / Civics / U.S. History teaching, coaching, curriculum, or district leadership.
  • Experience working on start-up teams or companies.
  • Experience running pilots.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Flexible time off
  • Stock option ownership
  • Cutting-edge work
  • The opportunity to help children around the world reach their full potential
