What you’ll do…

About the Team

Our Home Office Learning and Development team partners closely with business leaders to identify capability needs and deliver best-in-class training solutions. We are passionate about leveraging technology, data, and creative approaches to empower associates at every level. In this role, you’ll collaborate across functions to ensure our learning programs align with Walmart’s strategic goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement training strategies based on business needs and desired outcomes.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of digital and physical training materials, ensuring brand consistency and best practices.
  • Lead the evaluation and testing of training approaches, incorporating feedback to optimize future programs.
  • Manage key business partnerships to align training initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Drive project management for training initiatives, including capacity planning, issue resolution, and executive updates.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance on learning methodologies and content development.
  • Direct the creation of blended learning solutions, performance support tools, and process standards to ensure consistency across the company.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in designing and leading large-scale learning and development programs.
  • Expertise in digital and blended learning solutions, including content development and delivery methods.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business needs, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience mentoring and developing talent, with a focus on capability building and succession planning.
  • Deep understanding of data management, training evaluation, and best practices in learning.
  • Commitment to upholding company standards of integrity, ethics, and associate engagement.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Stock

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Education, or related field and 5 years’ experience in adult learning, training content development, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in adult learning, training content development, or related area.
