Prudential Financial is seeking a strategic and versatile Director, Learning Measurement and Curriculum Design to lead enterprise-wide learning measurement and elevate leadership development through exceptional user-centered learning experiences. This role blends deep expertise in learning analytics, instructional design, and leadership development with a practical, results-driven mindset. The ideal candidate will be a data-informed strategist and experience designer who can translate business needs into measurable outcomes, deliver transformational learning experiences, and drive cultural and capability growth across the enterprise.

 

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid or virtual and may require your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business, dependent on the candidate’s location. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

 

What you can expect:

  • Leadership Development & Experience Design:
    • Shape and evolve high-impact leadership development programs, including High Potential offerings, with a focus on measurable outcomes and learner experience.
    • Champion user-centered design principles to ensure learning experiences are intuitive, engaging, and aligned with business and talent strategies.
    • Partner with Learning Partners and business leaders to assess leadership and job skills capability gaps and deliver tailored development solutions.
    • Integrate leadership development with broader talent strategies such as coaching, succession planning, and internal mobility.
  • Learning Measurement & Analytics:
    • Lead the design and execution of learning impact studies using tools like Qualtrics, AI-driven sentiment analysis, and anomaly detection.
    • Build and maintain L&D dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to provide actionable insights across business units.
    • Connect learning data to business performance and guide executive decision-making through compelling data storytelling.
    • Benchmark against industry standards and advance Prudential’s measurement maturity and ROI tracking.
  • Instructional Design & Curriculum Strategy:
    • Apply modern instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and behavioral science to create scalable, high-impact learning solutions.
    • Facilitate L&D prioritization scrum to ensure strategic alignment and resource optimization.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align program strategies, resources, and outcomes.
    • Leverage tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, and LMS platforms to develop and deliver learning content.
  • Consulting & Strategic Influence:
    • Lead consulting engagements to define success measures, execute deliverables, and build client capabilities.
    • Serve as a thought partner in shaping enterprise learning strategy, measurement frameworks, and culture-building initiatives.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and capability development within the Learning & Development team.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s in Education, Instructional Design or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years focused on leadership development, measurement, and performance consulting.
  • Proven experience designing and executing learning impact studies.
  • Expertise in Qualtrics, Tableau/Power BI, and LMS platforms (e.g., Workday).
  • Strong communication and consulting skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.

 

It’d be a plus if you had:

  • Passion for continuous improvement and innovation, especially in AI-driven learning and talent development.
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Advanced knowledge of measurement strategies and instructional design best practices.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $141,100.00 to $191,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.

Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
