We’re looking for an Instructional Designer & LMS Operations Specialist who’s equal parts creative, strategic, and tech-savvy. This is not a project-based role but an ongoing support position requiring a blend of course design, LMS management, and operational execution. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in eLearning tools and platforms and is comfortable working on a range of duties as assigned in both course creation and learning system administration.

This is a Remote, part-time (20 hours / week), contract (6 months) role

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Design:

  • Design, develop, and revise engaging eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, and Adobe Captivate
  • Apply adult learning principles, accessibility best practices, and performance-based design methods
  • Develop instructional materials such as facilitator guides, job aids, and assessments
  • Partner with subject matter experts to translate content into learning experiences

LMS Operations:

  • Manage and update courses within the Learning Management System (LMS) (e.g., uploading SCORM packages, creating user groups, assigning content)
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to LMS-related inquiries
  • Maintain course version control, user data accuracy, and reporting structures
  • Support training deployment cycles, including communications and tracking

General Duties as Assigned:

  • Assist with learning data collection and evaluation (Kirkpatrick Levels 1–3)
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on digital learning assets
  • Support internal learning campaigns and initiatives

Requirements

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design and LMS administration
  • Proficient in Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, and Adobe Captivate
  • Experience managing content and users in a major LMS
  • Strong understanding of SCORM and eLearning publishing standards
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with analytics/reporting within an LMS
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or education-related fields
  • Working knowledge of graphic design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Camtasia,Adobe Premiere)

Basic & Physical Requirements:

  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
  • Must be able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting at a desk and attending virtual meetings

Other Notes:

  • Equipment and software access provided
  • Must be able to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Type: Contract, Part-Time
