The Learning Solutions Manager is accountable for leading and managing a team responsible for the design and delivery of high‑quality learning content and curriculum solutions. This role sets priorities, assigns work, and ensures alignment to business objectives, learning strategy, and enterprise standards. The Manager oversees execution across multiple initiatives, partners closely with stakeholders, and holds accountability for quality, consistency, and timely delivery of learning solutions. Through direct people-leadership, coaching, and performance management, the role fosters a culture of continuous improvement, capability building, and collaboration, while operationalizing the strategic direction established by senior leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

People Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of learning designers responsible for content and curriculum delivery, setting clear expectations, priorities, and performance goals.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and formal performance management to build capability, reinforce accountability, and support teammate development and engagement.
  • Own onboarding and skill development for new and existing team members, ensuring timely ramp up, consistent practices, and effective use of tools, templates, and standards.

Operational Planning & Delivery Execution

  • Translate strategic priorities and project plans into executable work plans, assigning resources, sequencing work, and balancing capacity across initiatives.
  • Oversee day to day execution of learning design and curriculum initiatives, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and taking corrective action to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Partner with senior leadership to inform resource needs, timeline adjustments, and delivery tradeoffs based on business priorities.

Stakeholder Partnership & Alignment

  • Serve as a primary point of accountability for business partners, subject matter experts, and delivery teams, ensuring clear requirements, timely communication, and alignment to learning objectives.
  • Represent the team in cross functional discussions, proactively managing expectations and resolving issues that could impact scope, quality, or timelines.

Quality, Standards & Governance

  • Ensure all learning solutions meet enterprise standards for instructional quality, accessibility, brand compliance, documentation, and metadata.
  • Establish and enforce consistent quality review, version control, and documentation practices across the team.

Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership

  • Drive continuous improvement in learning design processes, tools, and ways of working to improve efficiency, consistency, and delivery outcomes.
  • Lead change initiatives within the team by setting direction, reinforcing adoption, and holding the team accountable for sustained improvement and results.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to coordinate projects or guide the work of a team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with learning design tools, accessibility standards, and content management practices.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, commitment to continuous improvement, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting practitioner or community networks (e.g., business-embedded L&D supporters).
  • Prior experience managing a team. Familiarity with maintaining learning content, documentation, or similar workflows.
  • Knowledge of metadata, documentation, quality, and version control practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry certification, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Exposure to digital learning ecosystems, analytics, or emerging technologies.
