The budgeted hiring range for this position is $100,000-$108,000.

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Academic Operations is responsible for managing sub-functional services within the College that are designed to support the College’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The incumbent will ensure internal and external stakeholders have access and the ability to maximize the utilization of academic resources and services including the Partnerships, Experiential Learning Placement, Credentialing, Vendor Relations, and/or Quality Relations. The Senior Manager, Academic Operations leads and influences the development and implementation of the College’s long-term goals and plans by translating the vision and mission into actionable strategies that align with the organizational strategies. 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to support the goals of Academic Operations. 
  • Ensures collaborators within the function keep informed of professional and technological developments through participation in a professional organization and sub functional workshops. 
  • Oversees access and maintenance of Academic Operations including tasks that relate to our CRM, external vendor portal, and internal sites. 
  • Oversees the operational design of and functionality of the subfunction in relationship to the goals of Academic Operations and the College. 
  • Collaborates in hiring activities including candidate selection, participation in panel interviews, and making hiring decisions. 
  • Supports collaborators in all aspects of training and development including performance, behaviors, competencies, and alignment. 
  • Gathers and analyzes functional data to accurately reflect functional performance, identify areas of opportunity, and implement interventions to improve functional and strategic outcomes. 
  • Participates in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution is required. 
  • Demonstrated five years of experience in business operations supporting multi-functional teams is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, developing, and motivating a team is required. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. 
  • Demonstrated familiarity with virtual reference services using chat tools, email, and videoconferencing software is required. 
  • Demonstrated experience working in an educational environment with under-served populations is strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience working in the healthcare environment or healthcare industry is strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to drive decision making, operational strategies, and team development is strongly preferred. 

All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
