NMSI is a remote-first organization, allowing staff members to work primarily from their home office. Staff must have a dedicated, distraction-free workspace with reliable high-speed internet. What You’ll Do All Day

As a Specialist, Digital Design, you will play an essential role in advancing our mission. You will collaborate with a passionate team to craft and implement strategies that elevate the future of math and science education. The Specialist, Digital Design directly impacts our mission by helping develop content for use in NMSI learning management systems and other online resources. Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Create, manage, and produce multimedia design concepts for use in learning management systems, online resources, websites, or other learning platforms to support its learners.
  • Use design software and digital tools to develop illustrations, 2D or 3D animations, interactive content, social media graphics, or other digital artwork to enhance NMSI training content and classroom resources
  • Creates visually appealing and user-friendly digital services and resources; improves the overall user experience with digital products
  • Ensures correct branding and consistent appearance across all products
  • Designs and improves the interface of LMS or other digital platforms (e.g., CR4CR) to ensure usability and intuitive navigation
  • Leverage expertise with industry-standard design software (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite), animation software, and design platforms (e.g., Figma, Sketch) for UX and prototyping.
  • Experience with AI-enabled authoring tools to support the development of immersive or interactive experiences
  • Ensures correct branding and consistent appearance across all services and resources through collaboration with Public Affairs

The Specialist, Digital Design will report to the Director, Program Design and Innovation and is a regular part-time hourly position (up to 29 hours per week) offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the contiguous United States. Occasional travel may be required for in-person meetings, conferences, and events.

  • Physical Requirements: Remote employees working from a home office must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer and other standard office equipment, and have the capability to perform the required tasks and participate in virtual meetings, as well as occasionally in-person meetings. Employees must be able to travel overnight away from their home office environment as needed. Reasonable accommodation can be arranged if necessary. 

What Do We Offer?

The starting hourly range for this position is $30.13/hr. to $34.64/hr., commensurate with experience. We take pay equity seriously and strive to ensure fair compensation for all team members. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
